Going on a Walk

Kaitlin loves to run. She runs in circles at home or down the street as we go on walks. She says "hi" to all of the dogs and bikes we pass. And sometimes she even acknowledges the people accompanying them with a "hi, friend!" On our last walk, I don't think she stopped talking the whole 35 minutes. I wonder who she gets that from?!? (: She also loves to push Kiersten in the stroller. It's a pretty wild ride!

Our 5 Month Old

Kiersten is such a sweetheart. It is so easy to get her to smile and laugh. A few word or a funny face will get her legs kicking and arms waving. She is a bundle of joy.

Story Time

Kaitlin adores her little sister. When she's not smothering her with hugs and kisses, she's sharing toys and reading her stories. It is so fun to see them together.

"Beware the Evil behind the smiling eyes"

We're learning a lot about Kaitlin's ability to reach. It's nice to finally know why we never have any lotion even after we just boght it or where the cheese that I just shredded ended up.

She's all Smiles

Kiersten's personality has really begun to show. The mere sound of mother's voice sends her into a euphoria. One inheritable trait that our children can trace back to both parents is their big mouths. But one of the benefits of a big mouth is the resultant large and contagious smile. We love our smiley girl.

Bring on the Beach!

Kaitlin loves having her own private beach. The only disadvantage is that her modesty has taken a serious "dip".

Every Saturday evening, Kaitlin and Kiersten get to play with their buddies, Matthew and Daniel. It's always exciting at the Blums' house. This Saturday Kaitlin led a revolt to usurp control of the hose. She's fierce, beware her wrath!!

Squirrels just wanna have fun

Saturdays are so much fun! Who would ever make their kids work on Saturday? That's a terrible waste of a day off! Kaitlin and I enjoy walking to the park. Along the way, Kaitlin tries to make friends with the natives of the area. They seem a little stand-offish, but I think she can win them over with her sincere promise: "come on squirrel, I not hurt you".

"Thank Heaven For Little Girls"

Kaitlin just loves her little sister. Every morning she calls for us to come pick her up out of her crib and the first thing she asks for is "baby". She goes into mommy and daddy's room to give Kiersten a kiss on the forehead and then starts her day. I think Kiersten loves the attention from her older sister.

Summer Fun

We have decided to do as much as we can during our last summer in Cleveland. We realized that it is the first year that I'm (Marian) not working, pregnant, or babysitting. It really makes a difference to not be so tired or busy working. We have been able to do quite a bit already this summer. We've gone to Utah, Arizona, camping, and the beach. Brandon also has the opportunity to participate in "This is Kirtland" again this year.
We just bought a new camera that actually takes good pictures - so we're excited to share them with you.
